WE BELIEVE IN:
THE TRINITY
There is one God, the Creator of man and all things, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11)
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of a Virgin Mary. (John 1:1, 14, 20:28; 1 Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5)
THE BIBLE
The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God’s Holy Spirit, are inerrant in the original writings, are the Word of God, and the final authority in all matters of life and death. (11 Timothy 3:16; 11 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26)
MANKIND
Man was created in the image of God; he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; that Adam’s sin is imputed to the whole race of mankind; that all human beings inherit a sinful nature when they reach the age of accountability.
THE SACRIFICE OF CHRIST
We Believe In the bodily crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ, in His ascension into heaven, and that He is the Head of the Church, Lord of the individual believer, High Priest over the house of God, and today is at the Right Hand of God as Savior, Intercessor, and Advocate. (Luke 24:16, 36, 39; John 2:19-21, 20:26-28, 21:4; Acts 24:15; 1 Corinthians 15:42, 44; Philippians 1:21-23, 3:21)
ATONEMENT
Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe on and accept Him as Savior are freely justified before God by the blood of Jesus Christ, are spiritually regenerated, and are born again.
THE BLOOD
Justification, regeneration, and the new birth are possible only by faith in the blood
of Jesus Christ. (1 John 1:7; Revelation 1:5, 5:9; Colossians 1:20; Romans 3:10-12, 23, 5:9; John 1:29)
SONSHIP
All who, by faith and confession, receive Jesus Christ as their Savior are born again, are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, are new creatures in Christ, are baptized into the body of Christ, and become the children of God. ( 11 Corinthians 5:17, John 6:44, 65, Titus 4:3-7)
FATHERHOOD
God is the Heavenly Father of those who trust in His Son, Jesus Christ, as Savior and that only those saved through faith in Christ receive eternal life in God’s Kingdom.
BAPTISM
Water baptism is done by immersion, and by all who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, in Jesus’ name. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38)
HOLINESS
Holiness is to be God’s standard of living for His people and that sanctification is a continuing process, through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, the Word, and the power of the Holy Ghost. (1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; 11 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18, 11 Thessalonians 2:1-3, Romans 8:29, 12:1-2, Hebrews 2:11)
BAPTISM OF THE SPIRIT
Baptism of the Holy Ghost, subsequent to the new birth, and in exercising the Spiritual gifts, as the Holy Spirit gives utterance, to the edifying and empowering of the believer and the body of Christ. (Joel 2:28-29; Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47, 11:15-17, 19:1-6)
HEALING
Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement of Jesus Christ. (Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5; Matthew 8:16-17; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 8:6-7; James 5:14-16; 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28; Romans 11:29)
COMMUNION
We believe in the partaking of the Lord’s Supper (Communion) by the saints of God (those who are born again). (Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36-38; 10:47-48; 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-25)
ETERNAL LIFE
Eternal life in the Kingdom of God are for those who are saved, in glorified bodies. We also believe in the eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire, for those who choose to remain unsaved. (Matthew 5:3, 12, 20, 6:20, 19:21, 25:34; John 17:24; 11 Corinthians 5:1; Hebrews 11:16; 1 Peter 1:4; Matthew 25:41; Mark 9:43-48; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 14:9-11, 20:12-15, 21:8)
GENDER
That God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two, distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
MARRIAGE
That the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Genesis 2:18-25).
INTIMACY
That God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who
are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4).
